Pak Army soldiers to guard AJK elections from July 22-26
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army soldiers will be deployed at the Azad and Jammu Kashmir elections from July 22-26, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Thursday.
The AJK's Election Commission had officially approached Pakistan Army for providing security cover to the elections to be held on July 25.
The soldiers will be deployed under the Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan and will act as quick reaction force to ensure peaceful atmosphere during the elections.
According to the ISPR, the personnel of FC and Rangers will also be deputed in addition to Pak Army soldiers.
