No movement allowed in Karachi after 6pm
Karachi: In view of rising coronavirus cases in the city, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed relevant authorities in Karachi to impose a complete ban on movement in the city after 6:00 pm.
According to details, the decision was taken in the meeting of coronavirus task force headed by CM Sindh and also attended by provincial government officials, ministers, Rangers, and other concerned officials.
“I want a complete restriction on movement in Karachi after 6pm. The situation will be reviewed on Friday and if it doesn’t improve, stricter actions will be taken,” he said.
Murad Ali Shah also constituted a committee comprising Murtaza Wahab, Nasir Hussain Shah and Owais Qadir Shah and instructed them to hold meetings with concerned stakeholders in the city and convey the recent coronavirus situation.
“The committee will meet political stakeholders as there should be no politics on COVID situation,” he said.
During the meeting, Secretary Health Kazim Jatoi informed that the positivity ratio in Sindh has reached 12.7pc and in Karachi the ratio has surpassed 25pc.
