Islamabad: Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussian also confirmed the calling off strike by the petroleum dealers association in a tweet.

The petroleum division assured the protesting dealers to review dealers margin after every six months keeping in view inflation.

According to the association, the government had also assured to fix Rs4.90 per litre dealers margin.

Both sides agreed to increase dealers margin by 99 paisa per litre. The ECC and the cabinet will be approached te seek approval of incraeses in profit margin.

More than 50 per cent petrol pumps remained closed the entire day on Wednesday on the call of Petroleum Dealers Association.

Motorists and motorcylists faced a great deal of inconvenience in all parts of the country as long queues were seen at the filling stations.
