Karachi: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced Monday (November 29) that it is planning to suspend supply of gas to the compressed natural gas (CNG) sector and captive power plants, starting December 1.

As per gas utility firm, to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas to its domestic and commercial consumers, the SSGC is discontinuing supply to the CNG sector and captive power plants for two months and 15 days.

Diverting it to households with immediate effect, SSGC authorities have also advised the owners of the CNG Stations not to fill CNG in such vehicles, where safety of installation of CNG cylinders / piping is not ensured.
