While speaking in GNN programme ‘Khabar Hay’ Senior analyst Arif Hameed Bhatti said that former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was being used as a pawn, it would not be a surprise if he did not become the Senator.

While, Zafarullah Jamali’s Prime Ministership was supported by just a single vote whereas Manzoor Wattooo became Punjab Chief Minister with merely 16 votes.

Mr Bhatti further said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is PDM chief but he has no votes whereas PML-N and PPP carry the majority in Parliament.

“The final decision will come out on March 3 after the Senate polls but some parliamentarian from PML-N will not vote for the former PM and Mr Gillani has expressed this fear to his first cousin,” he added.
