According to details, the timely raid by the Wildlife Department foiled the attempt of smuggling birds and arrested a man who used to smuggle them in the province.

On World Wildlife Day (March 03), the seized wildlife that was being transported by passenger bus were released on the outskirts of Karachi. With today's operation, the number of birds caught this month is 19,000.

Moreover, large scale crackdown has been started against involved individuals as Sindh's wildlife is under threat due to ineffective legislation.

Animal smugglers are very active in Sindh, especially in transporting fresh water turtles, despite the government's recent bans.
