Court approves plea of Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan medical checkup

Rawalpindi: The accountability court has approved pleas regarding the medical checkup of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi.

According to the details, judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case on 190-million-pound reference case against Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan in Adiala jail Rawalpindi.

The court issued order to do an endoscopy test under the supervision of Dr. Asim Younis and a government doctor from a private hospital within two days of Bushra Bibi. The extra walls should be removed immediately in the court.

It is directed to the jail administration that until the removal of extra walls the hearing will not be moved further. Judge instructed the jail administration to solve the problems regarding media presenters in hearing the case.   

Later then the court postponed the case on April 23.

Bilawal Bhutto criticizes Fazl-ur-Rehman’s protest

Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples party’s (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that if Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam’s (JUI) president Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman wants to protest then he should protest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to the details, Bilawal Bhutto was doing a press conference regarding the protest of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.

He said that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s protest should be based on reality he should have investigated about the wrong statements of his people.

PPP’s chairman also said that the yesterday’s (Thursday) protest of opposition in joint session of parliament sent a wrong message to the world. It was not a democratic protest. Opposition’s criticism is welcomed in the parliamentary circle.

He added that president Asif Ali Zardari made a record history by addressing the parliament for 7th time and has given the roadmap to take out the country from weak economic situation. Unfortunately, the opposition had made a separate history.

Balochistan's 14-member cabinet takes oath

Quetta: The newly elected 14-member cabinet of Balochistan took oath on Friday.

Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Kakar administered the oath to the ministers in the swearing-in ceremony held at the Governor's House.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and members of the Provincial Assembly participated in the ceremony.

Those who took the oath include Pakistan Muslim Leagu-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Abdul Rehman Khetran, Noor Muhammad Damar, Asim Kurd Gilo, Shoaib Nosherwani, Raheela Hameed Durrani and Saleem Khosa.

Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Sadiq Imrani, Zahoor Balidi, Ali Madad Jatak, Bakht Kakar, Sardar Sarfraz Domki and Faisal Jamali also took oath.

Balochistan Awami Party's (BAP) Mir Ziaullah Lango and Nawabzada Tariq Magsi also took oath in the provincial cabinet.
