Agreements with Iran: US once again hints at sanctions on Pakistan
Vedant Patel said that treaty makers should be aware of the threat of sanctions.
Washington: United States once again indicated to impose sanctions on Pakistan for making new agreements with Iran.
During a press briefing in Washington, US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel has warned those promoting business agreements with Iran, saying that sanctions may be imposed if progress is made in new agreements between Pakistan and Iran.
Vedant Patel said that treaty makers should be aware of the threat of sanctions, as Pakistan views relations with Iran as part of its foreign policy, and sanctions are faced by suppliers to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Yesterday, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller stated that he advises those considering trade agreements with Iran to be aware of the possible threat of sanctions, the US is not evaluating possible sanctions.
Matthew Miller further said that the US is one of Pakistan's largest export markets and one of its major investors, looking forward to continuing its partnership. Pakistan's economic success is in the interest of both countries.

Punjab govt approves ‘Apna Ghar’ projectÂ

Lahore: The Punjab government has given in principal approval of apna ghar apni chat project on 519 canals of land in five biggest cities including Lahore.
According to the details, a session chaired by chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. A briefing has done on monthly installment and the construction of model houses.
During the session, Maryam Nawaz ordered to prepare the best houses in low prices. The agreement has done on the suggestion from Pakistan council for architect and town planners for the maps of houses.
However, the land has also been identified in five cities for the housing scheme of low-income homeless people. Maryam Nawaz directed to launch this scheme near the cities.

CTD officials told that a huge quantity of explosives has been recovered from the terrorists.
Bhakkar: Two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
According to CTD officials, two terrorists who entered Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were killed in the exchange of fire between forces and terrorists.
