Court issues notices on plea to register case against Rana Sanaullah

Karachi: District and session court has issued notices to parties on plea to register case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah.

According to the details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) lawyers form Sindh’s vice president filed a plea to register case against Rana Sanaullah in court. In the plea, the station police and station head officer have become parties in the plea.

It is stated in the plea that the interview of Rana Sanaullah was heard on many media channels and social media platforms in which he threatened to kill PTI’s founder Imran Khan.

The applicant pleaded that the court should direct the police to register the case against Rana Sanaullah.

Later then the court postponed the hearing till May 20 and issued notices to station police and station head officer Malir.

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique demanded the government to lift the ban on social media website X (formerly Twitter).

The leader of Muslim League-N Saad Rafiq turned to social networking website X and stated that the ban on X (Twitter) should be lifted in the country. This ban imposed during the caretaker period did not benefit anyone.

He added that they should avoid the humiliation, politics will be fought only with politics.

It is pertinent to note that despite the submission of reports by the Ministry of Interior and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) yesterday, a decision regarding the restoration of X service could not be taken.

Notably, the service of Twitter (X) has been suspended across Pakistan since February 17 which was partially restored several times during the last two months, but it could not be fully operationalized.

Intermediate final papers to start on April 19

The intermediate’s final papers arranged by the Lahore board will be starting from April 19.

Lahore: The intermediate’s final papers arranged by the Lahore board will be starting from April 19.

In accordance with the board officials, more than 1,95,600 candidates are attending the final examinations of intermediate.  

The officials stated that more than 800 examination centers have made in Lahore division and a special squad has made to overcome the cheating in examinations.

However, the section-144 has implemented in the surrounding of examination center while the essential service act has implemented just for the confirmation of the duty of supervisor staff.
