IMF approves Pakistan's appeal for new loan program
The reports also suggest that the new loan program from IMF is likely to be for the period of more than three years.
Islamabad: The significant progress has been made on the new loan program between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the media reports, the IMF accepted Pakistan's request for a new loan program.
It is also reported quoting sources in the Ministry of Finance, the IMF delegation will arrive in Pakistan next month for negotiations on the new loan program and the budget proposal for the next financial year.
Pakistan has submitted two appeals to the IMF out of which the request for Extended Fund Facility has been approved, while the second request will be reviewed by the mission during its visit to Pakistan. Pakistan will be able to borrow about $6 billion under the Extended Fund Facility, stated the report.
The reports also suggest that the new loan program from IMF is likely to be for the period of more than three years.
It is pertinent to note that Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb requested the IMF for a new loan program which was approved.

Italian foreign minister Antonio Tajani did not tell any details and said that Washington had information about the strikes.
On the other hand, Whitehouse’s press secretary Caribbean avoided to comment regarding the attack on Iran by Israel.
The united nations’ secretary general Antonio said that there is a severe need to stop the continuous dangerous war actions in central east in this hour.

Girl shot dead during party in Rawalpindi apartment
The body of the girl has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
Rawalpindi: A girl was shot dead in shooting incident that took place in the vicinity of Airport area police station in Rawalpindi.
According to the police, a person opened fire during a party in the flat late at night, as a result of which the girl died.
It is also reported by the police that the girl was identified as Hina Khan, while the firing was done by a person named Waqar. The body of the girl has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
The police stated that the investigation of the incident is going on to ascertain that who organized the party.
