CM Punjab approves to ban usage of plastic bags
She added that to improve the environment is the matter of everyone’s life.
Lahore: Chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has approved to ban the usage of plastic bags on June 5 across the Punjab.
According to the details, a session was chaired by senior minister Maryam Aurangzeb in which she told about the approval of Maryam Nawaz regarding the ban on using plastic bags.
She stated that an earth day will be celebrated on April 22 and a campaign will be started against the usage of plastic bags. An affirmation will be made on the complete ban of preparation of plastic bags, supply and usage.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that the people should not use plastic bags amid to avoid from cancer. She pleaded people to use paper and cloth bags to put anything. She asked the shopkeepers to coordinate with the government in this campaign.
She added that to improve the environment is the matter of everyone’s life. The information will be given regarding the damages on human health of using plastic bags.

Court summons report from govt on appointing IG Islamabad
Later then the court summoned the report from the government about the appointment of the IG in two weeks.
Islamabad: The Islamabad high court (IHC) has summoned report in two weeks from government related to appoint inspector general (IG) police Islamabad.
According to the details, the appointment of IG Islamabad was mentioned regarding the road accident case in IHC. Chief justice Aamir Farooq heard the case.
Justice Aamir Farooq inquired deputy attorney general Syed Ahsan Raza that why IG Islamabad has not been appointed till now amid there is no happy situation in Islamabad. There should be an IG the one who was before you should have let him stay until the arrival of a new IG.
He questioned whether the IG should be appointed by the ministry of interior or you should abolish the police then there will be peace or it will happen here as it is happening in Balochistan.
The Deputy Attorney General said that there was a notification for the appointment of the IG on which the court said that you know the notification that was made on which Amir Farooq remarked that he can only give this order amid this situation.
Later then the court summoned the report from the government about the appointment of the IG in two weeks.

Gold prices fall after steady rise
10 grams of gold has reduced by Rs1458 to be sold at the rate of Rs214,506 in the market.
Karachi: A decrease in the price of gold has been observed in the country today (Thursday).
According to All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association (APGJA), the price of gold across the country has decreased by 1700 rupees, after which the commodity settled at Rs250,200 per tola.
Similarly, 10 grams of gold has reduced by Rs1458 to be sold at the rate of Rs214,506 in the market.
On the other hand, the price of gold in the global market has decreased by 17 dollars to settle at $2395 per ounce.
