Lady head constable killed in traffic accident

Islamabad: The Islamabad police’s lady officer Robina Shehbaz has killed in traffic accident.

According to the details, the spokesperson of the Islamabad police stated that the lady head constable Robina Shehbaz had an accident yesterday (Wednesday). She was transferred to the nearest hospital after got injuries in traffic accident.

The spokesperson of the Islamabad police said that she could not resist the injuries while she was in hospital and died. The funeral prayer of Robina Shehbaz will be offered in police line headquarter.

It should be noted that Robina Shehbaz was injured in traffic accident yesterday.

CPA files plea to NEPRA on increasing power price 

National electric power regulatory authority will (NEPRA) be hearing the plea on April 26.

Islamabad: The CPA has issued advertisement of the plea regarding to increase the power price for Rs2.94 per unit only for one month.

According to the details, the increase in power price has been asked by the CPA in the fuel price adjustment in the month of March.

It is stated in the plea that from the hydel the production is 27.63 percent, from the coal the production is 10.74 percent and from the limited natural gases (LNG) the production is 20.67 percent in March.

The power has been produced 25.79 percent from nuclear in March while from the wind 2.55 percent and from solar 1.37 percent. The cost on the production of power has come to Rs73 billions.

CM Punjab approves to ban usage of plastic bags 

She added that to improve the environment is the matter of everyone’s life.

Lahore: Chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has approved to ban the usage of plastic bags on June 5 across the Punjab.

According to the details, a session was chaired by senior minister Maryam Aurangzeb in which she told about the approval of Maryam Nawaz regarding the ban on using plastic bags.

She stated that an earth day will be celebrated on April 22 and a campaign will be started against the usage of plastic bags. An affirmation will be made on the complete ban of preparation of plastic bags, supply and usage.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that the people should not use plastic bags amid to avoid from cancer. She pleaded people to use paper and cloth bags to put anything. She asked the shopkeepers to coordinate with the government in this campaign.

She added that to improve the environment is the matter of everyone’s life. The information will be given regarding the damages on human health of using plastic bags.
