‘Tiger is alive’: Hafeez rejoice Qalandars’ long-awaited win with swag
Hafeez stated Tiger abhee zinda ha (Tiger is alive) after Lahore trumps Multan to win elusive PSL title.
Lahore: Former Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez wasn’t able to control his glee over Lahore Qalandars’ victory in a cliffhanger contest against Multan Sultans, last night.
On his official twitter handle, Hafeez stated Tiger abhee zinda ha (Tiger is alive), a famous catchphrase from Bollywood movie “Tiger Zinda Hai”, starring Salman Khan—after Lahore trumps Multan to win elusive PSL title.
Lahore on Sunday created history by clinching their maiden Pakistan Super League (PSL) title with a comprehensive 42-run victory over Multan Sultans.
Qalandars overcame the hurt and disappointment spread over six PSL seasons by lifting the glittering trophy in front of 27,000 adoring Lahore spectators at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Multan Sultans did a quite decent job but could not properly topple the Qalandars' batting order.
Qalandar’s win means all six HBL PSL franchises have now lifted the trophy at least once.
Islamabad United is the only side to win two titles (2016 and 2018).
Reacting to this marvelous win, Pakistan cricket fraternity lauded Lahore Qalandars for winning their stunning display in the final—ending their 7-year-drought with maiden PSL trophy.
