PM Imran Khan meets PML-Q leadership in Lahore

Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan's held a meeting with the Chaudhry brothers of PML-Q amid no-confidence motion of the opposition. 

According to the sources, the prime minister’s meeting with PML-Q's top leadership, who are allies of the government in Punjab and the Centre, will be held on the matters regarding no-confidence move during his one-day visit of Lahore. 

PM Khan will listen to the concerns of PML-Q and would try to retain their support.

Earlier, during a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, the premier directed him to take effective measures for the provision of maximum relief and ensure the delivery of quality services to the people of Punjab.

He further instructed CM Buzdar to protect the rights, lives and property of people and to take stern action against encroachers, hoarders and miscreant elements in society. The prime minister was briefed about developmental projects being carried out across the province in the meeting.

The sources quoted the meeting of Imran Khan with Chaudhry brothers and will listen to their concerns and would try to retain their support.

PM Khan would also chair a meeting of the Punjab parliamentary board, sources said, adding that important decisions regarding local body elections will be taken during the parliamentary board meeting.
