OGRA increases gas prices by Rs68 per MMBTU

Consumers will have an extra burden of Rs227 billion with the increase in gas prices.

Islamabad: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Wednesday has approved a Rs68 per MMBTU hike in gas prices.

According to a report, the average price of gas has been fixed at Rs670.37 per MMBTU.

Consumers will have an extra burden of Rs227 billion with the increase in gas prices. OGRA has issued its verdict of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited after reviewing.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited had asked to increase the prices of gas by Rs269 per MMBTU.
