Islamabad: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday has warned that the Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Peshawar are under threat of fresh wave of terrorism.

While talking to media, the federal minister said that the brave soldiers of security forces have rendered their lives to war against terrorism.

“Two officers of security forces sacrifice their lives yesterday in two separate terrorist incidents. The police personnel have ensured peace in Pakistan by putting their lives at risk,” he said.

Sheikh Rasheed further stated that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is organizing again from Afghanistan.

“We will soon get completely get rid of this menace of terrorism,” he said.

Sheikh Rasheed announced to abolish three check-posts.

“Our forces and security agencies are vigilant. We have asked federal government for a package of rupees one billion for security. If this package is received, the rest of the checkpoints will also be removed,” he said.

Referring to the clash between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaadf (PTI) supporters and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders, he said,

“I condemn what happened. That could have been avoided if PML-N leaders had stick to the place where they were supposed to address presser.”
