President expressed condolences to the families of the slain security personnel


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack on Rangers personnel on the Srinagar Highway.
Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the clash between protesters and security personnel in Islamabad.
The President condemned the attack on the police and Rangers and expressed condolences to the families of the slain security personnel and prayed for the highest ranks for the slain personnel and patience for the families.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack on the Rangers and police personnel by miscreants on the Srinagar Highway. He paid tribute to the four martyred Rangers and said that the nation salutes the martyred Rangers personnel. The martyred soldiers sacrificed their lives while performing their duty. All the miscreants involved in the attack will be brought to justice.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that the sacrifices of the martyred Rangers would not be in vain. ‘We stand with the families of the martyrs and will always be with them’.
The Interior Minister expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs and directed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured Rangers and police personnel.
Bilawal Zardari
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the attack on Rangers personnel on the Srinagar highway and said that targeting the police and security forces present for the maintenance of peace and order is open terrorism.
Bilawal Bhutto stated that the accused involved in the attacks on Rangers and police in Islamabad should be brought to justice. The Rangers and police personnel who sacrificed their lives were brave sons of the nation.
He added that he shares the grief of the families of the martyred officials equally, may Allah Almighty grant them patience.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further said that he prays for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and the speedy recovery of the injured officials. The PPP's position on the right to peaceful protest, and mischief and terrorism is clear.
It is pertinent to note that during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest demonstration in Islamabad, miscreants rammed a vehicle into Rangers officials on the Srinagar Highway, killing four Rangers officials while five Rangers and two police personnel were seriously injured.
According to security sources, four Rangers and two police personnel have been martyred so far in attacks on law enforcement agencies by miscreants.
