Faisal Vawda seeks SHC restraining order against ECP
Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda on Monday sought an immediate restraining order from the Sindh High Court (SHC), over disqualification case against him in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
As per details, Faisal Vawda requested the high court to stop the ECP from conducting ineligibility case against him and stated that the ECP does not have jurisdiction to hear complaints against him.
Earlier in last week of February, ECP gave verdict against PTI leader.
The court approved PTI leader’s petition for immediate hearing and fixed it for Tuesday.
The petitions seek Vawda’s removal from the public office under clause 62-1 (F) of the constitution.
It is pertinent to mention that three complaints have been lodged against Faisal Vawda in the ECP over dual citizenship.
