‘Back in 90s Lahore': Jemima reacts to anti-Imran protest outside her home
Jemima recounted her horror of living in Pakistan as she shared the poster of a protest being planned outside her London house on April 17.
London: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's first wife Jemima Goldsmith Friday expressed anger over the planned protest outside her house, saying it appears that she is back to Lahore in the 1990s.
On her official twitter handle, Jemima recounted her horror of living in Pakistan as she shared the poster of a protest being planned outside her London house on April 17.
She stated that it feels like she’s back in Lahore in the 90s—a reference to the time when she was married to Imran Khan and lived in Lahore with her in-laws.
"Protest outside my house, targeting my children, antisemitic abuse on social media... It's almost like I'm back in 90s Lahore," Jemima Goldsmith tweeted with #PuranaPakistan.
Notably, it is her first social media reaction after the ouster of Imran Khan through the no-confidence vote in the Pakistan National Assembly.
The cricketer-turned politician was married to Jemima Goldsmith from 1995 to 2004 and both have two children.
Following her divorce from Imran Khan, Jemima left Pakistan and settled in London.
In several interviews, she revealed how she was subjected to anti-semitic attacks for decades.
