Imran Khan lauds SC verdict, says it upholds constitution and law
The PTI chief announced to offer thanks to Allah and celebrate the victory in Punjab CM re-election case tomorrow evening
Islamabad: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has lauded the verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly's ruling, saying the judgement endorsed the upholding of the constitution and law.
Taking to Twitter, the former premier said the verdict was against all manner of threats and abuse.
"I appreciate our SC judges for standing firm & upholding the Constitution and law, against all manner of threats and abuse. I want to thank Barrister Ali Zafar and his team. I want to thank the people of Punjab for coming out in unprecedented numbers in bye elections against rigging."
He announced to offer thanks to Allah and celebrate the victory in Punjab CM re-election case tomorrow evening.
"Tomorrow evening we will offer thanks to Allah & celebrate with all the people of Pakistan who have stood by us in our campaign for Haqeeqi Azadi, coming out in massive numbers to show support", Khan further saud in the tweet.

In a telephonic conversation, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi informed Imran Khan about taking oath at 11:30am. Khan congratulated Elahi.
On the other hand, Moonis Elahi also telephoned Parvez Elahi as soon as he left the courtroom and congratulated him on the SC's decision.
Apart from this, Moonis Elahi also met with Imran Khan who appreciated the former's initiative to stand with his [Imran] blunt stance in difficult times.
The Supreme Court today declared Pervez Elahi as the Punjab Chief Minister while declaring the ruling of Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari as null and void regarding the election of the Punjab CM.
