Kalat: Seven security personnel were martyred and 15 were injured in an attack by unidentified gunmen on the Shah Mardan checkpost in Kalat district of Balochistan.
According to the details, unidentified gunmen attacked the Shah Mardan checkpost in the Johan area of Kalat, resulting in the martyrdom of seven security personnel and the injury of 15 others.
Levies reported that the bodies of the injured and martyrs are being shifted to Quetta.
It is pertinent to note that on November 9, a suicide blast at the railway station in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, killed 26 people, including a woman, and injured more than 62.
The banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had claimed responsibility for the blast in a statement emailed to journalists.
The foreign news agency ‘AFP’ also reported the claim of the banned BLA that a Pakistani army contingent was targeted in the suicide attack, which was preparing to return after completing a course from the Infantry School.
Mohsin Naqvi condemns
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a security checkpost in the Kalat area of Balochistan and paid tribute to the martyrs.
Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyred personnel and expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs.
Senator Mohsin Naqvi said that the personnel achieved the high status of martyrdom. “We salute the personnel who achieved the high status of martyrdom. The martyrs have cultivated peace with their blood”.
He stated that the great sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered. The martyrs are our pride and the debt of eternal sacrifices can never be repaid.
