PM Shahbaz contracts COVID-19 for third time
PM Shahbaz tests positive for COVID
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday (today) has tested positive for novel coronavirus, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed.
On her official Twitter handle, the Federal Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting wrote: “Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef tested positive for COVID”.
While sharing the premier’s health condition, Marriyum stated that Shabaz Sharif has been sick for the past two days, adding that, “He (Prime Minister) got tested following doctor’s recommendation”.
The minister then urged the public and party workers to pray for his quick recovery.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister yesterday returned to Pakistan from London. This is the third time that he has contracted the virus.
Shahbaz was first diagnosed with Covid-19 in June 2020 and later contracted the contagious virus in January this year.
