According to the details, the 14th season of IPL is starting in Chennai from the 9th of this month. In the first match, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will face each other.

Before the start of the League, the arrangements have been called into question, as many players and coaching staff have started falling prey to coronavirus, while IPL players like Daniel Richard Sams of Australia have fallen victim of the deadly virus.

After being tested positive, Australian all-rounder has been separated from the squad and quarantined where a team of doctors is busy caring for him.

Former India wicketkeeper Kiran More, who is part of the Mumbai Indians' coaching set-up, has tested positive for Covid-19. More, who is a talent scout as well as wicket keeping consultant with Mumbai, has isolated himself in Chennai, where the defending champions will play their initial set of matches, including the IPL opener against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 9.

"Mr. More is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated," the franchise said in a statement. "Mumbai Indians and Kiran More have followed all the BCCI health guidelines. The MI medical team will continue to monitor Mr. More's health and abide by the BCCI protocols."

It should be noted that left-arm spinner Axar Patel of Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Devdutt Padikkal have also been hit by Corona.

On the other hand, 115,736 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases to 12,801,785.

Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 630 people have died in India due to corona, after which the number of deaths due to corona has increased to 166,177.
