Bushra Bibi's allegations against Saudi Arabia 'baseless': Ex-COAS Qamar Bajwa
Says Saudi Arabia is Pakistan’s "friend and benefactor"
(Web Desk): Former chief of army staff General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday rejected the allegations of the PTI founder's wife Bushra Bibi against Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, he said that national interests should not be harmed to gain political mileage by making baseless allegations. "Saudi Arabia is Pakistan’s "friend and benefactor"."
In a rare video message ahead of the PTI's November 24 protest, Bushra had accused Saudi Arabia of being involved in ousting her husband’s government.
When the former prime minister went to Madina "barefoot", the then-army chief started receiving "their calls", implying that the Saudi officials had a role in his ouster.
