Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday formed a larger bench to hear a petition seeking Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan's disqualification for allegedly not disclosing his daughter, Tyrian Jade White, in his nomination papers.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq will head a three-member bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and the bench will start hearing of the case on February 9 (Thursday).

Muhammad Sajid, a local resident, filed the petition and submitted that Imran Khan is reluctant to make comment on the subject matter despite that he had already denied the allegations. He alleged that Khan knew that there was evidence against him.

He asked the court to disqualify the PTI Chairman under Article 62(i)(f) for concealing the alleged daughter.

Last week, Imran Khan submitted his response to the plea, contending that it was not maintainable on the legal grounds. He said that the court could not proceed in this matter as he had already left the public office.
