Turkiye-Syria quake: Ronaldo's jersey sells for Rs57.2M to help victims

Lisbon: The Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo sells his jersey for $212,450 dollars (worth more than 57.2 million rupees) to help the earthquake victims of Turkiye and Syria.

Recently, several Turkish and Atlanta footballer including Merih Demirel and Lionel Messi had requested to donate their personal jerseys for the victims of the terrible earthquake in Turkiye-Syria.

After which the jerseys of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, Neymar JR and Eden Hazard became part of Merih Demiral's roster of player shirts. These jerseys have been put up for auction to help the earthquake victims.

According to the media reports, Ronaldo's jersey had been sold with the highest bid of $2,12,450.

On the other hand, European Football Associations Union has also donated about 214,000 dollars to support humanitarian efforts in Turkiye and Syria.
