PSL 8: Qalandars, Zalmi fined for slow over rate
Both the teams had been fined 10% of their match fee.
Karachi: Pakistan Super League-8 (PSL) teams Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars Wednesday had been fined for slow over rate in the match.
According to details, Zalmi had been fined for slow over rate in the match against Karachi Kings, played at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi yesterday.
In the statement, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that the match referee Ali Naqvi fined the team Peshawar due to less one over than the stipulated time frame.
Apart from this, players of Lahore Qalandars were also fined 10% of the match fee for going one over less than the time frame in the opening PSL match against Multan Sultans.
Both the teams had been fined 10% of their match fee as both the winning teams bowled an over after the allotted time.
It is pertinent to note that in the second match of PSL, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by two runs after a sensational match. While in the opening match, Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultan by one run.
