LHC allows Imran Khan ten-day protective bail in nine cases
A Lahore High Court division bench comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider granted bail to he PTI chief for next ten days in six cases.
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan secured protective bail from the Lahore High Court in six different cases registered against him.
A LHC division bench comprisng Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider allowed bail pleas of Imran Khan.
The court granted bail to Imran Khan till March 27.
Earlier, Imran Khan appeared before the court in compliance of its order in different pleas seeking protective bail.
Imran Khan was allowed bail in the cases registered in Lahore till March 27 and in eight cases registered in Islamabad till March 28.
Khan was booked in five cases in Lahore and six cases in Islamabad.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider will take up the bail pleas against the cases registered under terrorism sections.
Besides it, Justice Saleem will also take up the bail pleas that Khan filed against the civil cases registered against him.
Hundreds of PTI supporters foiled police attempts to arrest him as the former prime minister waited to hear a ruling on whether security forces could again come after him for failing to attend the hearing in court.
