Wazirabad SHO who lodged FIR of attack on Imran Khan dies of cardiac arrest

Lahore: Aamir Shahzad, who was appointed as Station House Officer in Wazirabad when PTI Chief Imran Khan was attacked, passed away due to a heart attack on Sunday.

He was the police officer who lodged the FIR on the attack of PTI chief and was the first officer to investigate it.

According to his cousin, Aamir Shahzad experienced chest pain at home and was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he could not survive.

During the attack on Imran Khan, Aamir Shahzad was serving as SHO in the Minister's Town police station. As a result, he was the first police officer to start investigating the case. It is worth recalling that on November 3, 2022, Imran Khan, the Chairman of the PTI, was attacked in Islamabad, which resulted in his injury.

The passing of Aamir Shahzad has come as a shock to his family and colleagues, especially those who worked with him during the investigation of the Imran Khan attack case. The news has also saddened the law enforcement agencies and the public. Aamir Shahzad was known for his dedication to duty and professionalism in his work.

PTI leader Farrukh Habib took to Twitter and said, “SHO Aamir Bhader, the plaintiff in the FIR of the murder attack case on Imran Khan, died. Aamir Bhader suffered a heart attack before which Dr. Rizwan and Maqsood Chapadasi also suffered a heart attack. The FIR of the Wazirabad attack case was filed by Aamir Bhader. There had been a continuous cover up since the assassination attempt on Imran Khan,” .

Aamir Shahzad's death is a significant loss to the police force, and his contributions to the investigation of the Imran Khan attack case will always be remembered. His colleagues and subordinates have expressed their condolences and paid tribute to him for his service to the country. The police department has also extended its condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul's eternal rest.
