PTI Senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhary says Maryam Nawaz had alleged that Bushra Bibi was taking bribes in exchange for getting official documents signed by the authorities during the previous PTI-led government.

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry said that Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, decided to file a criminal case against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz for defamation.
Fawad Chaudhry claimed that Maryam Nawaz had alleged that Bushra Bibi was taking bribes in exchange for getting official documents signed by the authorities during the previous PTI-led government. However, Fawad Chaudhry stated that Bushra Bibi is an apolitical person who never participated in any political activities, and therefore, the allegations made by Maryam are baseless.
He expressed these words while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Fawad Chaudhry stated that despite being a non-political figure, Maryam Nawaz continued to hurl allegations against Bushra Bibi. As a result, Bushra Bibi decided to send a legal notice to Maryam Nawaz for making false accusations, which will be followed by the filing of a criminal case against the PML-N leader.

Maryam Nawaz, who is also the chief organizer of the PML-N, has been repeatedly accusing the former first lady of receiving bribes, including a diamond set, in return for using her influence during the tenure of the Imran Khan-led government. The PML-N leader had also alleged that Farhat Shezadi, a close associate of Bushra Bibi, was actively involved in running the day-to-day affairs of Usman Buzdar-led Punjab government and receiving bribes for official transfers and postings of officials.

Fawad Chaudhry also criticized Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikander Sultan Raja, claiming that he is biased and part of a conspiracy to deprive people of their right to vote. The PTI leader alleged that while there is no money for elections, the CEC had purchased four kanals of land for the election commission office in Sargodha for 320 million.

Additionally, Fawad Chaudhry criticized the Chief Election Commissioner for being biased and part of a conspiracy to deprive people of their right to vote, and announced that the PTI plans to file a new reference against the CEC and demand his dismissal.
