Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Saturday filed a petition to be excused from appearing in the Toshakhana case.

According to details, a hearing was held by the District and Session Court in Islamabad against the PTI Chairman in Toshakhana case.

Gohar Ali Khan, the attorney for PTI, filed a plea seeking the court to postpone today's hearing, claiming that his client has life threat in the district jail.

According to Barrister Gohar, on the evening of July 5, Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued an order requiring the Toshakhana case to be addressed within seven days.

The requirement for daily hearings, however, was not made clear by the High Court. As a result, its deadline will expire on July 12.

Toshakhana case's evidence was required to be produced by 11:30 am today, per the court's directive who will continue the hearing and issue a ruling if the evidence would not been produced by then.

The hearing of the case was postponed by the court till 11:30 am.
