Supreme Court of India requested to resume hearing to restore Kashmir’s special status.

New Delhi: Indian government receives backlash as the Supreme Court of India placed a request to restore the special status of Kashmir after four years.
The revocation of Kashmir's special status, which took place on August 5, 2019, had been challenged in the Supreme Court.
In order to address the matter, the Chief Justice of India has formed a five-judge bench comprising senior judges.
A five-judge bench will hear the case on a daily basis starting from Tuesday.
The petition to declare the abrogation of Article 370, which provided special status to Kashmir, as unconstitutional was filed by Shah Faisal, a serving officer of the Indian Administrative Service, on August 28, 2019.
