Zaka Ashraf meeting with Jay Shah scheduled today
The venue of the Asia Cup matches in Sri Lanka will also be discussed in the meeting.
Durban: A meeting between Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Zaka Ashraf and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Secretary Indian Board Jay Shah is scheduled today (Tuesday).
According to Indian media, the meeting between Zaka Ashraf and Jay Shah is scheduled on the sidelines of the International Cricket Council (ICC) meetings that are starting today in Durban.
After the issues of Asia Cup and World Cup, the top officials of Pakistan and India will come face to face for the first time where they will discuss the issue of Pakistan's participation in the World Cup in India.
There is also a possibility that increasing the number of matches under the hybrid model of Asia Cup will come under discussion in the meeting of the two officials.
Apart from this, the venue of the Asia Cup matches in Sri Lanka will also be discussed.
It is pertinent to note that earlier the Minister of Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee Ehsan Mazari talked about Pakistan playing World Cup matches at a neutral venue, while Pakistan needs government permission to participate in the World Cup.
The government has formed a committee headed by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to look into the matter. It should be noted that the schedule of the Asia Cup matches has not been announced yet.
