All education boards agree to increase passing marks
The committee has agreed to make the passing marks at least 40 percent.
Islamabad: All education boards across the country have been agreed that the minimum passing marks should be 40 out of 100 for students to qualify the exam.
According to details, a two-day meeting of the committee for chairmen of the education boards of the country was held in which 21-point agenda was considered and important issues were agreed upon.
In the meeting, the committee has agreed to make the passing marks at least 40 percent, while it has also been agreed to make the study of Quran compulsory for Muslim students of Matriculation and Intermediate.
The chairmen of the boards have also agreed that a uniform result card will be introduced across the country and the examination schedule has been agreed to be held in May-June instead of March-April.
Apart from this, it has been decided in the meeting to appoint the Chairman of Inter-board Sports Committee for which Balochistan Board will chair this year.
