‘We want good ties with all neighbors,’ says FM Bilawal
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says they will try their best that the upcoming elections will not impact the foreign relations.
Islamabad: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that they wanted cordial relations with the world, saying that they made huge efforts to make good ties with the countries.
“We want good ties with all the neighbors,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing the foreign diplomats at a special dinner hosted in their honor in Islamabad on Tuesday.
He said that being the foreign minister, he visited different countries and made efforts to build Pakistan’s strong relations.
Bilawal Bhutto also expressed gratitude for the countries which came forward to help Pakistan during the difficult times. “Saudi Arabia, China and UAE helped Pakistan during these difficult times,” said the foreign minister. He stated that Pakistan faced huge trouble due to heavy rains and floods.
He stated that the country’s foreign relations improved during the last 15 months.
Talking about the elections, Bilawal said that they were trying their best that their politics would not impact the foreign relations. Pakistan, he said, would advance to the better situation.
He mentioned that his grandfather and his mother also served as foreign ministers in the past and it was a great honor for him that he led the foreign service during this time. During his speech, he also paid tribute to the ambassadors and the officers serving at the foreign office.
