Pakistani audiences are more tolerant than Indians: Adnan Siddiqui
Adnan Siddiqui recently spoke to the Indian media, where he discussed the popularity of the drama "Mere Paas Tum Ho" in Pakistan.
Karachi: Adnan Siddiqui, a well-known actor in Pakistan, recalled his role as Shehwar Ahmed in the drama "Mere Paas Tum Ho," which gained immense popularity when it aired in 2019.
The drama is set to be broadcasted on Indian channels starting on 2nd August.
During the interview with Indian Express Online, Adnan also talked about his participation in the Bollywood film "Mom."
He shared that the film featured prominent actors like Sridevi, Adnan Siddiqui, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Sajal Ali, while also noting that Pakistani audiences are more tolerant than their Indian counterparts.
Adnan Siddiqui recounted an incident from the shooting of "Mom" in 2017 when he was approached about the ongoing Fawad Khan issue.
He was advised to stay silent during that time.
Adnan emphasized that actors should remain apolitical and let political parties and the government address such matters, showcasing a balanced and harmonious approach to matters related to the entertainment industry.
During the interview, Adnan also revealed that when the Pakistan-India tension escalated, he was approached by Nawazuddin Siddiqui's manager for a potential project.
However, due to the prevailing situation, the project couldn't materialize, and Adnan holds no regrets about it.
