Chinese Deputy PM arrives in Pakistan for a three-day visit
Due to the arrival of the foreign delegation, the government has ordered public holidays in Islamabad on 31st July and 1st August.
Islamabad: Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Hai Lafeng arrived in Pakistan for a three-day visit.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Chinese Prime Minister is here to participate in the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During his visit, the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister will also hold meetings with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
As per the statement, the visit of the Chinese highlights the crucial role played by CPEC and Pakistan-China economic relations.
Hai Lafeng has remained actively involved in the progress of CPEC projects and has contributed to the dynamic growth in the implementation of CPEC initiatives.
The Foreign Office spokesperson has termed the visit of the Chinese Vice Premier as a significant step to further strengthen the high-level bilateral ties and deepen the friendship between Pakistan and China.
Meanwhile, due to the arrival of the foreign delegation, the government has ordered public holidays in Islamabad on 31st July and 1st August.
The district administration has sent a summary to the Ministry of Interior for approval.
They have also mentioned that tight security arrangements will be in place during the visit of the esteemed guests, and the notification for holidays will be issued after the Ministry of Interior's approval.
Government offices will be closed from Friday due to the holidays. In the case of Monday and Tuesday holidays, the holidays will be observed on the 5th and 6th of August.
