A supermoon is to appear today and again on August 30.

Lahore: In a rare celestial event, two Supermoons are set to grace the skies this month. The first Supermoon will be visible today, and the second one will be on August 30.
Renowned astronomer Dr. Javed Iqbal revealed that today's Supermoon will be exceptionally close to Earth, appearing about 14% larger and 30% brighter than an average full moon.
The distance between the Moon and Earth will be only 357,344 kilometers.
Dubbed the "Blue Moon" by experts, this extraordinary lunar phenomenon is capturing attention worldwide.
Pakistan will witness this Supermoon, which was last seen in 2018.
Having two complete Supermoons in a single month is a celestial rarity and won't happen again until 2037.
It's important to note that when two full moons occur within a single month, the second one is often referred to as the "Blue Moon."
In 2023, the first Supermoon was observed in July, and the fourth and final Supermoon of the year is expected to grace the skies in September. The unique and mesmerizing spectacle of the Supermoon continues to fascinate stargazers and enthusiasts around the globe.
