Islamabad: Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Information Minister, has announced his intention to challenge the census results in court.
In a statement released on Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry expressed concerns over the new census figures for Punjab, claiming that it was a major blow to the political rights of the province.
He questioned how Punjab's population could have decreased to the extent that it resulted in the loss of 8 seats in the National Assembly.
The leader further emphasized the lack of transparency in the methodology and results of the census.
Fawad Chaudhry criticized the attitude of Punjab's politicians, expressing disappointment in their response to the census results.
