Petition filed for A-class facilities to Chairman PTI in jail
It has also been requested in the petition that PTI chief should be allowed to meet his family, lawyers and doctor Faisal Sultan.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition to provide A-class facilities to party chairman Imran Khan in jail.
According to details, PTI chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was sentenced to 03 years imprisonment in Tosha Khana case, after which he was arrested from Zaman Park Lahore and transferred to Attock Jail.
His lawyer Naeem Panjotha approached Islamabad High Court (IHC) to provide A-class facilities to former prime minister in jail.
In the petition, it has also been requested that PTI chief should be allowed to meet his family, lawyers and doctor Faisal Sultan.
The petition states that meeting the lawyers, legal team and family is the fundamental right of Chairman PTI and that he should be shifted to Adiala Jail where A-class facilities are available.
Naeem Panjotha said he received a call from last night from jail superintendent who asked him to come to jail at 12 o'clock and get the signature of Chairman PTI. To which the lawyer replied: “The more you delay, the more delay we will make in challenging the order”.
