World Cup 2023: Pakistan-India's clash date change
The Pakistan-India match has been rescheduled to October 14th due to security concerns in Ahmedabad.
Lahore: The anticipated clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India in the upcoming World Cup 2023, has undergone a significant date change.
According to ICC sources, the revised schedule includes alterations for the remaining 8 matches of the tournament.
Originally set for October 15th, the Pakistan-India group match has now been rescheduled to October 14th due to security concerns raised by local authorities in Ahmedabad.
The decision aims to accommodate the heightened security arrangements for both the high-profile cricket encounter and coinciding festive celebrations.
In the revised schedule, Pakistan is set to play three matches, including the historical encounter against India.
Furthermore, the final league match against the Netherlands has also been rescheduled as part of the changes.
The altered match schedule for the World Cup is as follows:
- England vs Bangladesh - October 10th, 10:30 AM
- Pakistan vs Sri Lanka - October 10th, 2:00 PM
- Australia vs South Africa - October 12th, 2:00 PM
- New Zealand vs Bangladesh - October 13th, 2:00 PM
- India vs Pakistan - October 14th, 2:00 PM
- England vs Afghanistan - October 15th, 2:00 PM
