According to Shahbaz Sharif, the new census has been approved, and the election commissioner chief will decide whether to hold the election under the new census or the previous one.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) must make the decision. It is now up to us. There isn't any burden. The ECP needed to reply, he continued.
The prime minister claimed that all constitutional requirements had been met, adding that the ECP was required to conduct the poll and uphold the law.
The federal cabinet concluded yesterday, and the 16-month term was the shortest ever for a federal government, he added. "In my opinion, the election should be held soon," he remarked.
"Each party's election platform will be unique. My role of leading a 13-party alliance was not simple. The first 16 months of my career were challenging. stated Shahbaz.
“The friend countries were away because of the worst foreign policy of the previous government. Saudi Arabia helped Pakistan on every front,” he concluded.
He said that the government reinstated the IMF agreement, waived the flood victims' debts, provided them with subsidies, prevented default, and even temporarily imposed martial law.
