Iran can provide Pakistan low-cost gas, electricity and oil

He said that Pakistan is facing a shortage of electricity and gas and to solve this crisis, Iran is in a position to provide to Pakistan at minimum rates.

Islamabad: Iranian ambassador in Islamabad Reza Amiri Moghadam said that we can provide low-cost gas, electricity and oil to Pakistan.

According to details, a dinner was organized in honor of the editors of national newspapers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

In response to a question about war Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri stated that direct flights between the capitals of Iran and Pakistan will start. For this, Iran has presented a formal proposal to Pakistan and it has agreed to start the flights after getting approval from the cabinet.

The ambassador continued to say that Pakistan has asked Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for fifth freedom facility for Iran from Islamabad, Iran has also asked for similar facility for its four airlines. Currently flights are running from Lahore and Karachi to Mashhad.

Regarding supplying gas from Iran to Pakistan through a pipeline, Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri added: “Because there are US sanctions, we want such a solution that if Pakistan takes the gas pipeline from Iran, it will not have any problems”.

He said that Pakistan is facing a shortage of electricity and gas and to solve this crisis, Iran is in a position to provide gas, electricity and oil to Pakistan at minimum rates.

In response to a question, the ambassador further stated that Iran thanked Pakistan for restoring relations with Saudi Arabia through China's efforts. Similarly, thanks to Iraq, Oman and China, Iran also has good relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
