IHC directed that if there is any incident involving Imaan Mazari after August 20, she should not be arrested.
Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued an order preventing the arrest of Imaan Mazari, the daughter of Shireen Mazari, in any case after August 20th.
Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court heard the petition for providing details of the cases filed against Imaan Mazari.
Imaan Mazari's mother, Shireen Mazari, submitted a request on her daughter's behalf through her lawyers, including Zainab Janjua, Salman Akram Raja, and Qaisar Imam.
During the hearing, Salman Akram Raja stated that they did not need to file such a request, but due to the prevailing circumstances, they felt compelled to do so.
While both cases resulted in bail for Imaan, she was rearrested outside Adiala Jail in connection with a third case.
Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked that they are going through a difficult period.
Imaan was present in court, and I advised her to control her language through her mother. Imaan assured me that she understood, but she failed to control her language.
The court has ordered that a report be sought from the Interior Secretary regarding how many cases have been registered against Imaan Mazari nationwide.
The court further directed that if there is any incident involving Imaan after August 20th, she should not be arrested.
Additionally, the court has restrained authorities from taking Imaan Mazari out of Islamabad until the next hearing.
