Transporters increase fares after hike in petrol prices

Transport companies going to Multan, Islamabad and Karachi have increased the fares by Rs200.

Lahore: Another problem for the public after hike in petrol prices, transport owners have also hiked fares overnight.

According to the report, the inter-city fares have been increased up to Rs200. The fare of rickshaws and wagons plying in the city has increased by up to Rs20.

The transport fares from Lahore to Okara, Leh, Gujranwala, Arifwala and Faisalabad have been increased by Rs100. Transport companies going to Multan, Islamabad and Karachi have increased the fares by Rs200.

General public stated that since the hike in the rates of petroleum products, not only the rent, but also the storm of inflation has affected the daily life of common man.

It is pertinent to note that caretaker government has increased the prices of petroleum products for the second time, after which the new price of petrol has become Rs305.36.
