Twitter to introduce live streaming, shopping features
Elon Musk hints that these features will be available for users soon.
California: Elon Musk, the CEO of X (formerly Twitter), has hinted at the introduction of video game streaming and live shopping features on the social media platform.
In a recent post, Musk provided a sneak peek of the video game streaming system, which will allow users to live stream games by subscribing to a monthly fee.
The live game streaming feature will enable users to connect their accounts to Open Broadcaster software through X Media Studio.
Additionally, the platform will support viewer comments on the game streams.
In addition to game streaming, X is also testing live shopping features in collaboration with renowned model Paris Hilton.
However, specific details about how X's live shopping features will function are yet to be disclosed.
These new features are part of Musk's broader vision to transform X into a super app, similar to WeChat and other multifunctional platforms.
Musk has been actively working on integrating payment systems and other enhancements to achieve this goal.
Elon Musk acquired X (formerly Twitter) for $44 billion in October 2022 and has since implemented significant changes to the platform, including renaming it to X.
Musk's vision for X is to create an "Everything app," and these latest additions align with his ongoing efforts to redefine the platform's capabilities.
