Govt bans export of 212 items to Afghanistan

Karachi: The Ministry of Commerce has banned taking 212 items from Pakistan to Afghanistan under the Afghanistan Transit Trade Agreement.

Under the Transit Trade Agreement, goods have been banned from being transported through Pakistan to Afghanistan, for which the Ministry of Commerce has also issued a Statutory Regulatory Orders (SRO) number.

Goods will not be allowed to be transported from Pakistan to Afghanistan under the Afghan Transit Trade Agreement.

According to SRO Number, 17 types of clothes, all types of vehicle tires, tea leaves, cosmetics and dozens of toiletries have been banned.

Similarly, nuts, dry and fresh fruits, home appliances including fridge, refrigerator, air conditioner, juicer, mixer blender have also been banned from being taken to Afghanistan.
