London: Sherica D'Armes, a former Miss World contestant who proudly represented Uruguay in the 2015 Miss World pageant, has tragically passed away at the tender age of 26.

US media reports reveal that Sherica lost her battle with cervical cancer on October 13, despite her recent completion of a rigorous treatment regimen involving chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy.

Her untimely demise has cast a pall of mourning, not only in her native Uruguay but also in nearby cities.

Many prominent figures, including fellow actors, have expressed their deep sorrow at the news of her passing.

In the 2015 Miss World pageant, which took place in China, the 26-year-old Sherica did not make it into the top 30 contestants.

However, her journey began when she was just 18 years old, and she expressed her aspirations to become a model in various facets, whether it was as a beauty model, ad campaign model, or runway model, highlighting her dreams and aspirations.
