Islamabad: Caretaker Federal Interior Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, clarifies that the government's ultimatum applies not only to Afghans but to all illegal foreigners residing in the country.

During a briefing to the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that while discussing illegal residents, there was a misinterpretation that only Afghan citizens were targeted for evacuation.

Bugti clarified that the government's message is directed at all illegal residents, regardless of their nationality.

He emphasized that it is unacceptable for anyone to reside illegally in any country.

The caretaker federal interior minister further pointed out that individuals holding refugee cards or valid visas are welcome in Pakistan.

He also mentioned that the government is in the process of deporting Baloch people from Iran.

Bugti highlighted that the situation should not be misconstrued as an ethnic issue; it is about addressing the presence of all illegal residents in the country.

It's important to note that the federal government has set a deadline of October 31 for all illegally staying foreigners to leave Pakistan.
