COAS Asim Munir pays visit to Azerbaijan

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir is on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The objective of the visit is to strengthen defense cooperation and military-to-military interaction between the two friendly nations.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS Asim Munir met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, the Defense Minister, the First Deputy Minister, the Chief of General Staff, and the Commander of the Azerbaijan Air Force during the visit.

The army chief emphasized improving collaboration in the areas of training and defense during the sessions.

COAS Munir appreciated the high morale and remarkable standard of operational readiness of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

The Azerbaijani military and political leadership expressed gratitude for Pakistan's ongoing assistance and pledged to take their bilateral military cooperation to new heights.

The army chief received a warm reception and the Guard of Honor during his visit to the General Staff Headquarters. In Baku's Alley of Martyrs, he also placed a flower wreath.
